Keepin' It Loose 'N Weird With Hamburger Hands

Kyle Schneider, aka Hamburger Hands, is back for another round of Royal Bison with his unique brand of vibrant and cheeky "low-brow" illustrations! He first started selling his work with us in the winter of 2014 and will be with us again for both weekends of our fair - how fun!! Ol' Hamburger Hands will be bringing his collection of art prints, all new "flash tattoo" themed iron-on patches, and rumour has it he's going to be bringing some prototypes of his "Lil' Potheads" - these adorable little smiling succulent planters - with him. The guy has been working his pink, squishy brain off lately - watch him descend slowly into illustration-fuelled madness on instagram (@hamburgerhands) and read on down below to see how he responded to our Q&A:

Q: What does it mean to be an Edmonton maker/designer/artist?
HAMBZ: I loooooove this city! The arts/music scene here is unreal. There's just something about the mix of blue-collar conservatism colliding culturally with artsy-hipsters creative types here that fascinates me endlessly. To me, Edmonton feels like such a natural place to be creative in - our long winters and festival laden summers just seem to breed some of the most engaging weirdos in Canada.

Q: What are your top 3 influences (artists, things, etc)?
HAMBZ: Dungeons & Dragons, psychedelic fuzz-rock, and houseplants! I live a full and interesting life hahaha!

Q: Favourite Bison item you’ve picked up at a previous fair?
HAMBZ: Oh man... I bought a print from Emily Chu a few Bison's ago of this chubby dude floating around in a space helmet trying to get at a hot dog and it has just made me so happy!
