Urban Drawer is a sock company based in Edmonton, AB. We design fun and modern socks to keep your feet looking awesome. Our designs are inspired by the qualities of city life and we wanted to make stylish socks that could be worn every day. We hand select the colour threads and our adult socks are made out of combed cotton for extra softness and durability. Natalie Frederick and Vanessa Frederick started working together on this project in 2015 and are joining us for the first time in November - and we are SO happy to see their new work! You can keep up to date with urban Drawer by following them on instagram / twitter and do yourself a favour a read on down below to see how they responded to our Q&A:
Q: What does it mean to be an Edmonton maker/designer/artist?
UD: We can influence the world around us. We get to place our mark on our city in some tiny or large way.
Q: What are your top 3 influences (artists, things, etc)?
UD: Currently rock ‘in out to Sampha, London Grammar, and reading the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey.
Q: Favourite Bison item you’ve picked up at a previous fair?
UD: A rad orange tuque from our friends at Flannel Foxes.
